Surprise visit to see my Grandbabies on Dec 6 2008 in Cedar City, Utah

I was so excited to see them!!!

Today is Sunday and I am feeling so grateful for which all the Lord has given me and blessed me with. My Husband and Children and Grandbabies mean so much to me in my life. My grandbabies live 9 hours from me (To Far) but I talked to them yesterday on the phone and Talon Said' I miss you Grandma Curds. So good to hear their little voices. I guess that Tanley and Talon was having a little tiff over who was going to talk to Grandma Curds next and poor Tanley ended up in the rose bush with a scraped up face. ( wanted to comfort her) A couple of months ago I made a surprise visit to Cedar City Utah where they live, Ty didn't tell talon I was coming to to watch out the window. ( flew down with some friends that own a airplane) Ty met us at the airport. Pulled up to the yard and Talon little eyes got so big. He Said Grandma Curds and ran out to greet me. You can image how my heart felt. We embraced and a few seconds later there was my little Tanley right on top, just giving the biggest and best hugs ever. My posterity right before my eyes. Some day those grandbabies will know just how much I love them and how I want the best life has to offer them and how I want to always be a part of their lives. Few things are more delightful than grandchildren fighting over your hugs and kisses. My Grandchildren are the dots that connect the lines from generation to generation. My husband said that he knew when I become a true grandmother because it was the day when I stopped noticing the crazy things our older children do and I'm so enchanted with the wonderful things my grandchildren do. Grandmother-grandchild relationships are simple. I hope I am always the kind of Grandma that is short on criticism and long on love. My Grandmother Ruby told me once that the history of our grandparents is remembered not with rose petals but in the laughter and tears of their children and their children's children. It is into us that the lives of grandparents have gone. It is in us that their history becomes a future. I always want to have a Legacy of Love that lives on from generation to generation, knowing that we have a made a difference and along the way truly celebrated what is right with life.
